THE DAILY FREEMAN, PATRICIA R. DOXSEY
In office for less than 24 hours, newly minted U.S. Rep. Pat Ryan is already gearing up to provide services to the residents of the 19th Congressional district.
Shortly after being sworn in on Tuesday, Ryan announced the opening of both his Washington D.C. office and his first district office, which will be located in Kingston.
“Constituent services is a top priority of mine, as it was during my time as Ulster County Executive,” Ryan said in a press release. “My team is hitting the ground running and ensuring that constituents are getting the services that they need and deserve. I take very seriously my solemn obligation and duty to serve every single resident, amplify their voices and their concerns, and to really fight on their behalf in Washington.”
In an interview, Ryan said his Kingston office will be headed by Kayleen Scali, who was Ryan’s chief of staff while he was Ulster County executive.
Robert Dougherty, who served as legislative director to former U.S. Rep. Antonio Delgado, will be Ryan’s chief of staff.
Ryan’s office plans to hold additional mobile office hours across the district to provide direct assistance to constituents.
Constituents can reach out directly to either office for help with federal agencies like the Internal Revenue Service, Veterans Administration or Social Security Administration or for assistance with flags and tours while visiting Washington, DC.
Ryan’s Kingston office will is located at 256 Clinton Ave. Its phone number is (845) 443–2930.
His Washington, DC Office is located at 1007 Longworth Building. Its phone number is (202) 225–5614.
