My Call for a Mutual, Temporary Ceasefire to Both Secure the Return of Hostages and to Send a Massive Surge of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

"The Rafah invasion cannot proceed. I’m calling for a mutual, temporary ceasefire to both secure the return of hostages and to send a massive surge of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

We must then redouble our efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace with a two-state solution.

There are over 100 hostages still held by Hamas, including 6 Americans. There are over a million Palestinians displaced, without access to food, water, or needed medical care, on top of the tens of thousands of innocent lives already lost.

We can’t wait any longer."
