Ryan delivered $595,316 for Mental Health America of Dutchess County to save lives by boosting its suicide prevention services and increasing mental health resources for Hudson Valley veterans

Ryan secured $625,000 for the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council of Orange County’s Tri-County Prevention Coalition and $625,000 for The Council on Addiction, Prevention, and Education of Dutchess County, Inc. to implement comprehensive strategies and programming to combat youth drug use over the next five years, including keeping out deadly fentanyl 

Ryan hosted Hudson Valley veterans for a breakfast to thank them for their service and honored veterans Ralph Osterhoudt, Vincent Serrano, and David Harris for outstanding contributions to the Hudson Valley community

Congressional nominations are required for U.S. Service Academies. Ryan has held Service Academy information sessions to inspire future military leaders, expand awareness of nomination process, and increase diversity of applicant pool.

Resolution would designate September 11 through September 17 (Constitution Day) as Patriot Week

Ryan has selected the Orange County government, including the Department of Emergency Services and the Jail, for nearly $2 million in federal Community Project Funding to invest in enhancing public safety across Orange County; funding has already passed through Appropriations Committee and will become law pending final passage of the FY25 government funding bill
